Changing the conversation about office coffee.

The story.

Typical office coffee is the brunt of jokes. It’s the reason people go to the corner coffee shop before they go into work. Mars Drinks (yes, the same parent company that makes M&M’s) wanted to change the conversation – showing how great coffee can make a real difference in productivity and morale in the workplace. So, I brewed up an extra strong cup and got to work.

A tagline to challenge the status quo.

I developed the tagline “Rethink the daily grind” that spoke not only to the fact that Mars Drinks provided better office coffee – but that better coffee promotes a better workday.

The campaign

The client wanted to stand out from the competition. Done. I helped lead the team in the development of a campaign that showcased the empowering effect great coffee can have on the workday in a fun, memorable way.

We used Boingo media placements in airports – introducing business travelers to our message before they logged on to airport wifi.

Tradeshows

Even Mars Drinks’ executives were energized by the campaign as we spread the word at multiple industry trade shows and events.
